Terrace Mar Suite Hotel

A really affordable, convenient small hotel which also has a small pool.

Pros: Location was good. Buses locally to central Funchal, or a 25/30 walk, although coming back is uphill which might not suit everyone. The return number 4 bus stops outside the hotel. Other buses are on the main road. 2€ each

Cons: NOTHING!!!! Everything was great. Breakfast was amazing, with a buffet from fruit cereals and milk & yogurt, to cheeses to meats and a good variety of breads & pastries! And there were hot dishes to order from a menu, all included in the price. All served with a big smile!

Gooo, very convenient. Friendly staff and the pool with the honesty bar was a nice touch!

Pros: Everything was great.Jacuzzi and heated pool were amazing. We used sauna couple of times. They also noticed I have a birthday so brought me a cake - it was very nice!

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff were very polite, helpful, and quick to respond to any requests. For example, when we used the sauna and asked for bathrobes and slippers, everything was arranged promptly and very kindly. The room was comfortable and perfect for two people. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed in case you want to cook something yourself, which was a nice bonus. The included breakfasts met our expectations — tasty, varied, and with fast, efficient service. The rooftop pool was warm and pleasant, and the relaxation area was well organized and comfortable. The only small downside was that the jacuzzi felt a bit too strong in chlorine. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely rate this stay highly. We would be happy to return.

Terrace mar

Pros: Very very clean, polite and effcient staff , pool, jacuzzi, sauna, whats not to like.

Cons: Some building work going on but it is off season and i had noise cancelling ear phones.

Great hotel for the price.

Pros: All round good place to stay…..breakfast was good.

Cons: Nothing to dislike….pleasant stay with very friendly staff. Room was cleaned to a high standard everyday.

Autumn break in Madeira

Pros: The room was very spacious and comfortable, the hotel has a convenient location, and the staff were very hospitable and helpful.

Cons: Very tight spaces in the underground parking, it would only fit a small to medium-sized car.

Feeling welcomed

Pros: Perfect location in city. Room is good size. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast was good.

Cons: Parking is an issue if coming back later in the evening. Took us good few minutes to find a space each day. Parking in the hotel is limited and has to be prebooked in advance which we were not aware of.

Excellent Hotel and staff

Pros: Unfortunately our flight was cancelled and we spent the whole day at the airport. This was made as an emergency booking as we did not have a place to stay overnight. Eduardo in reception made was extremely understanding with our problem and exceeded our expectations with his kindness and professional manner. He made us feel very welcome and help to make our stay comfortable after the ordeal.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Nice hotel in Sao Martinho, great to explore Funchal

Pros: We enjoyed our stay, the place was very clean, comfortable and the staff was nice.

Cons: It could be a little loud in the evening, and even though it was in a nice area it was a little far out from the centre. Also for a 4 stars hotel I guess we expected a little more with the pool and other facilities, with some like the sauna costing extra.
