Studios Funchal

Central convenient location

Pros: Location brilliant. Very clean, good shower. Enjoyed the roof top terrace. Happy to have a safe and kitchenette. Marisa very helpful and friendly.

Cons: No view, but location made up for that. We could pop back regularly.

A really nice self catering apartment in a fab location.

Pros: Location was excellent. Whole building was very clean and tastefully decorated. Marissa, the host, was so helpful, from advising on transport from the airport to recommending car hire for a couple of days. There are about 4 apartments in the block but it was very quiet both internally and from the small narrow street outside. The kitchen facilities all looked good but we ate out for every meal. There is a nice outside terrace but this is a communal space for all apartments to use, at the time we stayed there we’re building works on the building next door so we didn’t use the terrace.

Cons: We had the impression from the details (wrong to assume is the lesson learnt) that the terrace was private to our room so we’re a bit disappointed when we found out it was 2 storeys up from our apartment and it was a communal space. Not a big issue but we had imagined having morning coffee / afternoon drinks out there which we didn’t do, partly because we couldn’t be bothered to walk up and also the building work was going on.

Our stay was absolutely perfect – a beautiful, spotless place in an ideal old town location.

Pros: The location in the heart of the old town is perfect. The building has been beautifully renovated inside – everything is new, clean, and smells fresh. The room is equipped with everything you might need, including a small safe for documents. The building also offers a lovely internal patio and a terrace. There are plenty of restaurants nearby serving delicious food. Marisa, the host, is extremely kind and very helpful. My rating is 20/10 🙂 I truly recommend this place.

Funchal Studios

Pros: Excellent location, Marisa from Funchal Studios was really helpful and helped with good restaurant recommendations, all literally on the door step . Two good supermarkets close by as well as the sea front and harbour. Roof terrace nice to chill out in the morning or evening, room very clean , quiet at night. Everything you need.

Cons: No real issues at all

Wonderful spacious studio right in the centre of the old town - everything immaculate

Pros: We loved it all! The studio was so central to the old town - we could walk everywhere. It was also immaculately clean and felt very safe. Everything has been thought of they even got milk and coffee, biscuits, and butter for us! Marissa was there to welcome us on arrival and any problems she responded by WhatsApp within minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons: Only that the hot water didn’t last for too long. You have to be quick in the shower.

Pros: Location was great , the air con worked well , the host Marissa was more than helpful in every way

Cons: Hot water system inadequate and unable to sit on the tiny balcony

Pros: The host and location of the apartment were both great. The street had plenty of options for food and drinks and overall a wonderful atmosphere. Contact with the host was easy and very nice!

Perfect stay in Funchal

Pros: I booked this studio based on previous reviews and everything was perfect. The studio was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. The location was excellent situated in between the old town and new town with everything within easy walking distance. Marisa was so helpful with everything I needed.

Cons: Everything was perfect!!

Pros: We had a wonderful time in Funchal. We spent two weeks in Apartment 26 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast on the roof terrace, cocktails at the Cuban bar across the street (don't worry about the noise, it closed at 10 p.m.). Thank you very much, Marisa—you were a great help.
