Pelourinho Apartments by An Island Apart

Great location. We had a wonderful stay.

Pros: The location was wonderful with lots of restaurants and bars nearby, along with a great supermarket. The seafront was a short walk away, as were the cable car, boat tours, bus tours etc. We had a fantastic week away. The minor issues stated below didn’t detract from the whole experience and would definitely stay here again.

Cons: I did ask for bedding for the sofa bed before we arrived but all we could find was a quilt but no sheet or cover. We muddled through though. You have to be a giant to reach the kettle, toaster etc on top of the cupboard. Maybe have a small sturdy step to reach them. We had to stand on a small chair which when you are in your 60’s and 70’s is a bit nerve wracking! The bed was a bit hard for me but that’s personal preference.

Good value for money in a perfect central location, ideal for a short stay.

Pros: I chose this accommodation primarily based on its excellent location and affordable price, and I was definitely not disappointed. The location is especially convenient if you don't have a car, as everything is easily accessible. Everything we needed was provided.

Cons: The overall impression of the apartment is a little tired, and the ventilation in the bathroom was problematic.

Pros: Clean and nice apartment with a cuban restaurant downstairs with delicious meals and quiet nights.

All great and fine, something to consider space was not extremely extra and noise on 2 nights over 4

Pros: The positioning was good, not far from the ocean, we managed to find parking easily too for the nights and overall a very positive experience there

Cons: Few remarks: we have been notified in many ways during self check in and on the website of the managers of the location to be quiet during the night, 22-8 which is a good rule for preventing issues, but I must admit 2 nights there was someone in the building drilling and making noise of construction works once at 23 and once after midnight. not for some hours, ok, for like 30 minutes or so but it was definitely not ok. Another thing I would also want to notify future customers is the space and positioning for the table, we managed to have dinner in two cooking ourselves and it was fine but had to reposition a bit the sofa, find more room for the chairs, the space is enough and ok but definitely not extra.

A large bright apartment in an excellent location.

Pros: The representative happened to be at the property when we arrived and let us in. It is a bright airy apartment with floor to ceiling windows. It is spacious and comfortable. Very well located in the middle of town. There is a well-equipped kitchen area.

Cons: The bathroom has a slightly awkward arrangement in 3 sections. It is clean but a bit dated. However the shower is powerful and hot.

Pros: The location of the apartman is perfect, close to the bus stadion and is in the city center.

Cons: There is a bar below the apartman which is noisy sometime but is closes around 11 so it is not a big issue

Pros: The apartment was nice and clean. The location is brilliant! Restaurants and a shopping centre with a supermarket is very close. The public beach and bus station is also close.

Cons: I ended with with an apartment on the 1st floor so didn't have such a nice view as on the photos and it was rather dark. Also the flat is right above a bar/restaurant so quite noisy in the evening.

Pros: Świetna lokalizacja. Łatwy i wygodny bezkontaktowy meldunek. Czystość na bardzo dobrym poziomie oraz wygodne, duże łóżko. Dodatkowym plusem była wymiana pościeli i ręczników w połowie pobytu. W apartamencie dostępne były również suszarka, żelazko, mała kuchnia oraz telewizor. Nie korzystałem z tych udogodnień, więc nie mogę ocenić, jak działają.

Cons: Kilka metrów od okna trwał remont/budowa kamienicy, więc od godziny 8:00 było słychać hałas budowy. Wieczorem dochodziły też głosy z restauracji na dole budynku, ale nie były dla mnie uciążliwe. Po godzinie 22:00 panowała już cisza. Jeśli ktoś, tak jak ja, wychodzi rano i wraca wieczorem, hałas nie powinien stanowić większego problemu. Mój telefon nie wyszukiwał sieci WiFi, która miała być dostępna. Nie potrzebowałem jednak internetu, więc nie zgłaszałem tego. Podejrzewam, że po kontakcie z obsługą problem zostałby rozwiązany.

Ubytování v centru, ideální pro páry.

Pros: Výborná lokalita, přímo v centru. Vše dostupné, obchody, kavárny, restaurace.

Cons: Jediná vada na kráse byl velký hluk z baru, který je pod apartmánem. Bar sice zavíral ve 22 hodin, ale většinou ještě další dvě hodiny velmi hlučně uklízeli. Při delším pobytu si zvyknete :-D

Pros: Lo recomiendo porque está muy bien situado en el centro de Funchal

Cons: Es bastante ruidoso con el bar que tienen debajo
