VERY luxurious apartment in Funchal

Pros: The apartment was a perfect starting point to visit Funchal and the sights of Madeira. It's quite central in Funchal, everything is in walking distance without too much traffic noise. The underground parking was a bit tight but feasible with our rental car (Ford Fokus). The apartment is even bigger than the photos suggest, it was impeccably clean and generously equipped. We've never had an apartment where you didn't need to buy essentials right away. But from toilet-paper to washing-powder, shower-gel to garbage-bags, Betty really thought about everything. We even got a welcome snack and wine, so that we didn't need to go grocery-shopping after a long journey. From the first contact to the no-fuss-check-out the communication was cordial and helpful and I highly recommend the apartment and professional services. Thank you very much again Betty, it was a pleasure meeting you.

Pros: Location was amazing, really close to all the facilities. Really spacious apartment, very clena & very well equipped,

Cons: If I had to think of a negative, it would be that it would have been useful to have had more information in the apartment about public transort, about buses or trams and boat trips etc,

Pros: Huge apartment with everything you'd need. Lots of lovely local restaurants nearby, or a short walk downhill to the old town.

Cons: It's on a main road so you will hear traffic if air con is off. But don't hear anything from neighbours which is great.

Our favorite apartment in Funchal with plenty of space and comfort, topped with an excellent host

Pros: Fantastic and spacious top floor apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a private parking spot in the underground garage for our rental, air conditioning and food and wine on arrival. Betty is a fantastic host, giving us a warm welcome and a flexible checkout (our flight was late at night). This will be our go-to place whenever we visit Madeira, no doubt about it. Highly recommended!

Excellent Penthouse Apartment

Pros: Huge penthouse apartment with stunning views across the city, spotlessly clean with all the facilities needed, comfortable beds, & excellent communication with host Betty. Highly recommended.

Fantastic base for exploring Funchal and island.

Pros: Warm and friendly welcome. Much higher specified apartment than I expected and much bigger too. Could have easily slept 3 couples and had only booked for 2 people. Nice supply of goodies on arrival. Close to centre of town. Endless balcony with views up to Monte and toward the eastern islands. Property has parking but relied on buses.

Cons: Need to be aware that Funchal is a busy/noisy city and every other car/motorbike/scooter is a boy racer. The apartment is on a main road which is noisy from early to late and even though apartment is on top floor the rush hour(s) noise and fumes are very present if you have the balcony door(s) open. In some ways this is part of the overall experience and if you are OK with that then it's not a problem.
