Casa do Mundo Madeira

Pros: Our stay at Casa do Mundo was a great pleasure. Mr. Miguel and Mrs. Micaela are incredibly kind people. The apartment was perfectly equipped. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection, so everyone could find something they liked. Contact was quick and friendly when needed. Access to the parking lot and parking spaces were very convenient. Larger vehicles can easily find a space just a few meters from the guesthouse or along the street. Another major advantage is the proximity to the airport (a 10-minute drive). However, the airport and planes are practically inaudible. This was our third stay in Madeira, our first at Casa do Mundo, and we would happily return.

Pros: We were extremely satisfied with both the accommodation and the host. The location was excellent, and the parking facilities were very convenient, which made our stay even more comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the host truly went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They were very attentive and did their best to accommodate all our needs and wishes. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. We would happily return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Pros: Wow everything! This is a pearl on the island. Rooms: comfy, stylish, beautifully lit, quiet. Location: 7mins by car to the airport. Quick to highway and eastern tourist attractions. Wonderful host Miguel. Breakfast with sunrise (november).

Cons: That the stay was only 3 nights.

Pros: Beautiful, spotlessly clean accommodation with excellent breakfasts, including warm bread. The host’s care and hospitality were truly outstanding. We also appreciated the possibility to use the common room and the terrace with its stunning view of the ocean. We actually enjoyed watching the planes land — the sound was very faint and didn’t disturb us at all.

Pros: Everything was great. Miguel is a very good host and he understand the needs and expectations of his guests.The casa is beautifully renovated, merging moder design, luxury and practicality.

Beautiful location with some minor remarks

Pros: The rooms are really amazing - very clean, beautiful, comfortable beds. The house is pretty and the view is great. The owner is friendly towards the guests and has build a very nice home for guests! Thank you lots for that.

Cons: The choice of vegan food for breakfast was limited (the owner was informed when arriving that we are lactose-free, but no alternative except oat milk wS provided). There was a tank with filtered drinking water, whereas we were asked to please not take too much water as it needs to suffice for the entire week for all guests, which felt a bit uncomfortable. For the price, we would have appreciated a wider choice of alternative foods, unlimited access to filtered water and access to the garden 😊 price/qualiy ratio could thus be increased from our POV.

Pros: I had a wonderful stay at this place on Madeira. The accommodation was beautiful, well-maintained, and exceptionally clean. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly prepared every morning. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help. There were also two lovely dogs on the property that made the stay even more enjoyable. If you're an aviation enthusiast, the view of the nearby airport is an amazing bonus — a perfect spot with stunning scenery. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay on the island!

Perfect place to stay!

Pros: Beautiful property with spacious, modern and clean rooms. Breakfast was fantastic and the whole facility is very comfortable. Mike & Erika are amazing hosts, and are the cherry on top of staying here.

Cons: N/A - Casa do Mundo was perfect

Pros: Erika and Mike, not to forget their lovely dogs Floyd and Fynn offer a warm welcome to their guests. They give all what is possible to make your stay a success. They prep a very individual breakfast, are very knowledgable about the must-sees of the island. Very nice hosts. The high quality windows block out completely the noise of aircraft at the nearby airport, and the street noise at night. The bathroom is a gem, which I'd like at home.

Cons: In fact: not a bit! Its a piece of home far from home!

Pros: I travelled in many places in the world, met with many many hosts... I can tell you Mike & Erika were the best. They are very welcoming and do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay in Madeira. The house is perfectly located, 10 minutes away from the airport and 15 to Machico. Everything was super clean, the room, the bathroom, ... breakfast is also excellent. I can't promise I'll come back to Madeira, but if it happens it will be for sure at Casa do Mundo. 👍🏻
