An immaculate and welcoming boutique hotel.

Pros: Our hosts gave us a very warm welcome which continued throughout our stay and we very much appreciated being able to arrive well before the normal check in time to fit in with our previous accommodation. An immaculate and thoughtfully presented B&B. Every detail had been thought about and there was a peaceful feel as soon as you stepped through the gates. The views over the sea and the harbour were amazing and were especially enjoyed over breakfast on the balcony. Breakfast was exceptional with freshly prepared food and a choice of hot food each day.

Cons: The steps up to the hotel were steep and might prove a problem for less agile people but steep slopes are to be expected anywhere in Funchal!

Pros: Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Perfect location. Comfortable rooms. Great outdoor space. Lovely breakfasts. Welcoming and friendly hosts who made us feel very comfortable.

Cons: We liked everything and would certainly stay there again.

Our stay at Quinta B. met all our expectations

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Quinta B. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. The breakfast is just sumptuous.

Enjoyable base for easy life plus good location for public transport

Pros: Breakfast was varied & awesome; friendly & thoughtful host; outdoor sitting area with small pool & sea & harbour view. Sufficiently close to recommended/good restaurants. We did venture to the hotel area of Funchal but this just confirmed the wisdom of staying near the Old Town.

Cons: We coped well enough but always reminded it was on a steep slope - but this is Madeira ;)

Great location, peaceful, great surrounding & really clean & comfortable.

Pros: Location, facilities, cleanliness. Lovely breakfast albeit a bit heavy for me but husband loved it.

Cons: Only gripe was sun loungers were super uncomfortable but wasn’t staying in Funchal to laze about a pool.

Pros: Exceptional tranquil B&B at the opposite end of town from the large hotels. 5 minute walk to the old town. The hosts and service team are lovely and very attentive. Amazing breakfasts! The attention to detail everywhere was outstanding. Great views to the ocean. Thank you for a wonderful holiday:)

A beautiful home with wonderful hosts, amazing breakfasts and the perfect Funchal location.

Pros: I had such a lovely stay at Quentis B. Heike and Jochen were so welcoming and even let me leave my rucksack there before check-in and after check-out, which made things so much easier. I was travelling on my own but Heike and Jochen made me feel just as comfortable and included as all the other guests. The place itself was spotless and had everything you could need. They gave me really good tips on what to see and do and the breakfast each morning was amazing. I loved having that slow, easy start to the day. It made me slow down and really enjoy my holiday. As a cheese lover, I was in heaven with the variety of local cheeses and the homemade jams were so tasty. The location is perfect. The accommodation is only a few minutes from the old town and a lovely swimming area. I enjoyed my stay so much and would highly recommend their beautiful home to stay in.

Loved our stay on Madeira and the accommodation and hosts were superb

Pros: The room were spotlessly clean, really well appointed and extremely well maintained. The breakfast was superb everyday and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were happy!! Perfect.

Cons: Nothing, we can’t fault it.

Lovely stay in a refined boutique B&B

Pros: We had a lovely stay at Quint B. The place is even better looking in person than from the photos. The breakfast is glorious (lots of local products including jams, hams and cheeses). Last but not least, the host is extremely welcoming and helpful. It really felt like staying in a familiar villa.

Lovely holiday would recommend

Pros: Small and quiet. Excellent customer service. Lovely breakfast.

Cons: Located up a quite steep hill, just depends on your mobility and fitness.
