Pros: The building is attractive, the room is comfortable, and the location is wonderful. Breakfast is a nice touch.

Cons: 59 steps to the room, maybe should be warned. There should be keys for EACH adult guest A staff member is employed for 2.5 hours to dispense food to a max of 12 guests. This is very boring for them and probably totally unnecessary. Guests could easily serve themselves.

Pros: The location is great in the central of Funchal. Easy to access to many things.

Cons: The hotel was a bit up stairs which need to carry luggage on the stairs.

Fantastic place to stay!

Pros: The accommodation is immaculate, very friendly and the location is perfect! I will return in March to stay here! The rooftop is perfect for sunrise too! It is amazing value also.

Excellent location

Pros: Lovely to be in old building with simple stylish room & view to the cathedral, great bathroom. Coffee machine & fridge in room. Simple fresh breakfast. We were there during the unusually cold storm & the manager bought new blankets especially. Much appreciated. Ideal place for easy exploring the city & just a few minutes walk to the bus stops. Look forward to going in warmer weather to enjoy the roof terrace.

Cons: A bit of noise from people walking on street below but only to be expected in such a central place.

Pros: Location is perfect!! Right in the centre of Funchal & was to find. I took the aerobus from the airport into town & it was a 5 minute walk to the accommodation. I only stayed one night as it was moreso a layover before my next flight. I stayed in the single room as a solo traveller. It’s a very clean & tidy room. Small obviously but exactly as the photos & perfect for my needs! The staff were also really lovely & accommodating. I was able to check in early & was able to store my luggage all day after I checked out. There are also security cameras everywhere so it felt very safe. There are a few stairs (beware if u have heavy luggage).

Pleasant, clean in a great location.

Pros: Location, close to centre of everything. Clean and tidy. Breakfast was a lovely variety! Breakfast room was nice to sit in to plan your day. Noise not an issue.

Cons: Nothing negative to say.
