Fascinating

Pros: It was an awesome place to live/work. Rooms were nice and tidy. Bed is comfy. Specially liked each room has compartments to stow dry and fridgerator foods. In the kitchen where you meet your flatmates. Was very nice experience to meet kind people feom all over the world. Get to say a few words. It got my day going. Had an amazing view from the terrace. Can park the car next to the street to us for free. 5 mins away from centre.

Fun and amazing stay

Pros: Amazing use of space, great location, and very welcoming and friendly host! We actually didn’t know this was like a duplex with shared rooms but we were pleasantly surprised when we saw the pool table, big dining and living room and very organised kitchen! This is a great way to meet other travellers and hear their stories (and we sure did). The host also has a WhatsApp group with current guests where she shares recommendations, tips and tricks for Funchal but also the whole island and the hikes which was really useful! She also brought us a fresh and warm loaf of potatoes bread in the morning!

Pros: The snooker table, darts, and foosball table were a nice addition to the very comfortable and beautiful space

Cons: The extractor fan and dishwasher were not functioning during our stay

Pros: Bigger than it looks in the photos, lots of outdoor terrace space and indoor common space. Hosts were not present in person, but were very communicative via WhatsApp, recommending activities nearby and checking in.

Cons: The rooms can get very hot as they do not have AC. This is listed on the property info, and they do supply a fan, but worth noting if you are travelling in August like I did. The hosts added me into a group chat with the other current residents without prior notice, which I did not expect. I understand the purpose, but worth bearing in mind if you are a private person.

It was a perfect accommodation that had everything you needed.

Pros: I think this apartment looks even better than in the photos. It's very spacious and has a huge terrace. The people staying in the other rooms were very polite and friendly.

Nice stay

Pros: It is a really nice apartment, with a great terrace. It is definitely taken care of for co-living or just renting a room for a few days. People are very respectful, and followed the house rules which helps with sharing the apartment. Catarina is available online and very supportive.

Cons: Rooms are nice but a bit stuffy. The apartment is on a very steep hill, which was a bit challenging as I have a problem with my knee. It would also be nice to have a shower instead of a bathtub.

Great shared apartment near Funchal centre

Pros: This place has a magnificent shared area and an enormous terrace with town views. The room we got was clean and practical. The property was very close to the centre. The use of the washing machine was a godsend especially after hikes in the levada. The kitchen was very well organised with spaces for guests to put pantry items and fridge items. We got welcome biscuits and coffee pods in the room. Catarina, the owner/administrator provided information and checked in through WhatsApp.

Cons: The room got stuffy unless the door and window were kept open and we managed to sleep better with the window open and the shutters closed. The bathroom was fine but needs better air circulation since there's no window. The apartment is on a steep incline - for us it wasn't too much of an issue but if a guest has mobility issues it might be good to know - most of Funchal is on steep inclines anyway! For the price, it's fine.

Very nice place

Pros: All good. Very close to de city centre. It has a very nice view. The shared places were comfortable too.

Great stay

Pros: Excellent stay, clean room, great facilities and good location. The possibility to use the kitchen and eat in the terrace was a big bonus. There is also a washing machine which was helpful since I was travelling for a few days

Cons: The doors don’t insulate well so you can hear the other people staying in the place but it was not a major issue for me personally
