Handy calm place near the centre

Pros: Liked the modern block, the gardens and views. Breakfast was also very generous.

Cons: Not much! It’s Madeira so it’s on a hill and about 10-12 mins from the centre.

Perfect

Pros: Beautiful discreet location, very quiet, clean and the staff were lovely. Quiet area a little out of the way but close to walk into all areas of the city or taxi in for a few euros. The breakfast and staff were all lovely. Lights in the garden at Christmas time were really nice.

Cons: Loved it all

A really nice experience except for the fact that ants ate my birthday cake :(

Pros: The hotel is located very close to the center, just a 10 minute walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got some recommendstions and useful advice, thank you! The breakfast was outstanding (especially if you choose a table outside and eat with an amazing view). I must say that the breakfast is continental but there was a lot of food, so you will definitely NOT be hungry. The room was spacious and clean. It was my birthday and I got poncha as a present :)

Cons: There were ants and they ate my birthday cake :( I didn't know there were ants and no one told me, so I left a box with my birthday cake on a table and went to have dinner, once I came back and opened the box it was full of ants. Another minus - there wasn't hot water on one of the mornings, I went to the reception where they told me just to wait for 10-15 minutes (someone was fixing that), but 20 minutes later nothing changed and I had to take a shower in little to warm water, since I didn't want to wait longer and waste my precious time on such a beautiful island.

Unbelievably awesome

Pros: Where do I start? Amazing property and lovely stuff. The garden is so nice, the room is spacious and the view is amazing. Having the breakfast outside on the small terrace was outstanding. The breakfast itself was great, however, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff who were very kind. Location is also very good, a nice 10-15 min walk into centre of town. Definitely one of the best places I have ever stayed! After staying here, I will consider long and hard giving another place a 10 :-)

Cons: Nothing, all was close to prefect.

Pros: The room was very clean, nice and spacious. We had great view to the city and the harbour. The staff is super nice, and caring. We were perfectly cared for. The garden is beautiful, with teraces to relax, watch sunset etc. It wa a real romantic treat for us. The breakfast was also great.

Cons: There was technically no plug for electricity for our phones, notebook etc. The hotel is in nice quite location, but in the hillside, so you have to walk uo. Although there is coffee machine in the room you have to pay for capsules, which is strange.

Pros: Location was great. A short stroll down to the city but harder work getting back up, though thete is a bus service that stops outside. Views were excellent from the many seating areas in the private gardens. Art Ambience was so nice and breakfasts are good in both quality and quantity. Staff are super nice.

Cons: It does rain in Madeira and if you are staying in one of the newer rooms then don't do what we fid by leaving the wooden shutters open. The rain makes a racket when it hits the bottom of the frame. Easily sorted after it kept us awake for a while.

Pros: Nice and clean room. The whole staff we met during our stay was super friendly and helpful. Peaceful environment with a nice garden. Bus stop in front of the hotel. Nice breakfast served at the table.

Cons: The only negative thing was the lack of soundproofing, we heard every sound from outside of the room.

Pros: Very friendly staff members that informed us throughout about activities and places to eat. Amazing breakfast options and very beautiful garden!

Beautiful hotel in Funchal

Pros: We loved everything about our 2 nights here. The property is beautiful, well maintained, the location is excellent for visiting Funchal. The stuff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with many options. The attention to detail was on point. Room was really spacious, clean and beautiful. We will definitely book this hotel again. We stayed here after finishing our Madeira crossing hike, and we had our tent all wet, because last night on the trail was rainy. And asked them if we could dry our tent somewhere, were we would not disturb the other guests, and they kindly let us do it in the indoor parking lot. Thanks again for this!
