Lovely hotel, friendly staff.

Pros: Great location, nice rooms, food was delicious and varied.

Cons: Too much maintenance going on throughout a four week stay.

Amazing hotel in a great position in Funchal

Pros: Located on the seafront, easy access to the shops, restaurants, bars and promenade. Polite, happy and helpful staff. Large rooms, comfortable beds and linen, modern bathrooms. Amazing large indoor warm pool Great food and bar area lovely.

Pros: Prime location, lovely staff - very accommodating and every facility you could wish for in the room.

Cons: Being extremely picky and understanding that it is very difficult to please everyone, but the evening entertainment could be better.

Pros: Lovely indoor pool facility. Spa reception was not manned, so a bit confused about towels etc. reception explained take blue towels and robes from room, could be a bit clearer, but not a problem. Lovely massage and pool/jacuzzi. Great service throughout the hotel and reception staff particularly great. Great location to old town and fort. Bed/pillows, linen all lovely. Loved the hob and ability to self cater with cutlery and plates, pans etc

Idealc for short stay in town

Pros: This hotel is well located both on the water front and also close to town. Ideal for evening walks after dinner from the many restaurants in the area. Parking is easy and not too expensive Breakfast is a huge buffet with lots of fruit as well as the usual choices. Bakery is average with the honourable exception of the Pastel del Nata. Excellent staff in a great location.

Pros: Staff were, without exception, warm friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in a superb location and very well maintained. Room was also comfortable.

Cons: Both the dinner and breakfast buffets could have been better. The variety was good for both meals, but quality wasn't anything special. The hot dishes were generally only warm or even cold. Food in the bar was excellent.

Loved our winter break so much have rebooked same hotel for Dec 2026

Fabulous Funchal!

Pros: Loved the location of this hotel, very convenient for everything the Old Town had to offer. Close to the Monte cable car and great restaurant and bar options. Our room was extremely comfortable which included a Nespresso machine and kitchenette. Lovely breakfast area. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.
