Pestana Promenade Ocean Resort Hotel

Very nice hotel in a great location . Professional staff and good facilities.

Pros: Excellent location. Great room with sea view. Good facilities incl nice pool and hot tub. Staff were professional and friendly. Paid car park easily accessible .

Cons: Overall a great experience however only two lifts serve the hotel leading to delays at times - esp breakfast times !

Friendly carnival

Pros: Spacious room, with a small kitchenette. Knowing we had a baby, they put your room at the end of the corridor so we would not be bothered. Very friendly staff. We reedived fruit. The pool and restaurants were good. The area is nice, a bit away from the chaos of the center but with restaurants, beach,... really close.

Cons: The sauna and Turkish bath are open from 4 pm.

Second visit to Pestana Promenade and we will be back.

Pros: Beautiful garden setting, easy access to promenade walks. Excellent breakfast options and well cooked and presented meals in Deep Blue. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Spotlessly clean throughout.

Cons: Prefer a double bed but were told only twin beds available throughout property.

good and nice hotel, in an excellent location

Pros: Very good and nice hotel, in an excellent location, close to the bus stop, ocean, promenade, beautiful view, garden, pool, cleanliness, room is spacious, well furnished, quality and delicious breakfast, although of the constant boiled porridge was boring. The staff is very nice. Indoor pool is an excellent pastime in case of bad weather. The hotel is environment friendly.

Cons: Wifi is intermittent, the signal is weak. In the restaurant area, the evening music lasts too long (when there is a performance, then until 23:00), it can be heard in some rooms, you can't sleep until then, loud performance, music until 22:00 would be more than enough. The cleaning service room was also close to the room, there was already a loud conversation in front of the room door early in the morning. In the wellness area, the jacuzzi is well heated, which is very good, but the water is so chlorinated that you simply can't stay in it, it stings your eyes and throat. The pillows in the room are not comfortable for me, they are too flexible, but that is a matter of personal preference. These are easy things to handle, it's worth dealing with and then everything will be even better, I believe in it, because it's a good and very nice hotel.

Friendly staff, amazing clean team, great location

Pros: Staff is really friendly and welcoming. That’s the fourth year in a row I travel on my birthday and this was the only hotel where the staff congratulated me through the day, offered me a drink, and made the day feel even more special! Cleaning team also deserve a mention: every day the room was cleaned really fast and it was always in perfect shape.

Exceptional Hotel

Pros: The surroundings, service, food, facilities, staff and everything else were absolutely exceptional. It was my mother’s birthday and the staff could not to enough to make her day special. Extremely impressed all round.

Great hotel , highly recommend it

Pros: Excellent hotel with amazing views of the sea , sunrise and sunset. Large pool area, lots of loungers and other comfortable seating . Bit cold for swimming, but there’s also a good sized indoor pool and jacuzzi/ sauna/ steam room . Direct access to the seafront promenade , lovely walk into Funchal or to Camara de Lobos. Service was all very friendly and professional, from managers to housekeeping . Special mention to Bibi who looked after us well with cocktails and great service. Room was spacious and well equipped , good sized balcony. All the rooms seem to have sea view and also lots of comfortable seating areas either view of the pool and the sea. Pool bar served good reasonably priced food . Breakfast had plenty of variety. Definitely recommend this hotel and plan to stay again when we’re next in Madeira.

Fabulous place to stay with a stunning pool area and views over the sea

Pros: The pool area is just stunning, beautiful gardens, really big pool with was always spotlessly clean. View from my room was fabulous too overlooking the pool, gardens and out to sea
