Romantic get away with lovely garden!
Pros: The full experience is quiet brilliant. Amazing staff, cozy place away from the crowd in the middle of nature. All for yourself with a little fireplace in your ling. Whats not to like?
Cons: In all honesty the quality of the beds is mediocre at best. Considering the facilities the price is pretty steep. As the house/room is cozy but not luxurious or anything. Compres to other more hotel-osh accomodations on the island (incl swimming pools, breakfast, et ) the price is similar and thus a bit steep.

Perfection in the hills
Pros: After packing up our home we needed a few days of tranquility and the Quinta was perfect in every way. We simply loved our short stay there. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and huge. The gardens are stunning and the smell of the mountains so different from downtown Madeira. Total relaxation. Cannot compliment enough.

Peace and quiet in the mountains in a traditional property
Pros: Very secluded. Set in well maintained grounds. Small kitchen vital as it’s a little remote. Option of lighting log fuelled fire at a small fee.
Cons: Open tread stairs up to bedroom. The towels were thin. A mismatched set of cutlery, broken mirror in room. Sun loungers dirty, but presumably cleaned for summer use.

Best homely stay in Madeira
Pros: The property was very clean and very comfortable. Immediately felt like home. The staff is super nice and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here. The kitchen is well equipped but you need to buy all essentials like oil, sugar, coffee etc. The fireplace is just a treat and made our stay even better. There is a €10 fee extra to use fireplace but there’s lot of wood.
Cons: I like everything. It’s like home.

Pros: The garden was super green! There were even 3 sheeps in the morning outside. Rooms were large, a lot of space, on two floors.

Pros: A cozy bungalow; you rent a room that is part of a house, meaning you essentially have your own two-story small house with its own terrace. The room had a comfortable living room, a kitchen, a toilet, and on the second floor, a bedroom with a bathroom (with a shower). Everything is made quite cozy and neat. The hotel has very beautiful grounds, but since everything is covered in greenery, it's practically impossible to sit on the terrace in the evening due to insects, or to open the windows. Fortunately, there are mosquito nets on the windows. The staff was courteous; they explained in detail how to drive to our room, even though the directions were not simple. They met us and showed us everything. Overall, it's a decent option if you are not interested in a beach holiday and you want to spend time in quiet, without the hustle and bustle. It's especially suitable for the colder time of year.
Cons: The kitchen was not in the best condition. Since the detour route by car to the room is complicated, it's unclear why it's difficult to put up signs indicating where to turn off for the hotel.

Such a cozy stay
Pros: The chalets are so nice, really cozy. We got to light up the chimney because the nights were already a bit chilly when we visited. Honestly the only thing I missed was maybe a pool as the property has really nice gardens, a pool would be a nice add on.

Quaint, peaceful and beautiful.
Pros: We stayed here after our flight was cancelled and we needed somewhere immediately. I loved the gardens. I wish I’d have found it before. It’s got character in a nice location especially if you have a car to explore. A much more authentic experience compared the the large seafront hotels we’d stayed at and if I were to return I would go here. It does get a bit chilly at night due to being in the mountains but the fire is nice. The facilities in the kitchen and bathroom were basic but sufficient. The lady who checked us in couldn’t have been nicer.
Cons: The bathroom could do with a little refresh.

Nice Self-Catered House in Beautiful Gardens
Pros: Lovely surroundings set in large gardens. Self-catered house / apartment had the facilities needed, bathroom could do with some updating but everything functional. Location is great for getting out walking and into the mountains (it is quite high up and to drive here isn't the easiest). Luckily, we chose to come on the night of a festival by chance and had a great evening in the square listening to folk music and drinking poncha.
Cons: Room a little tired, being high up and in gardens, be prepared for mosquitoes.
