Funchal Center Apartment I

Spot on- second but probably not last visit!

Pros: Central, comfortable, peaceful ( AMAZING double glazing!) All we needed. Lucy and Alexandra always on hand and charming!

Cons: Not a lot!!

Wonderful stay in a sea view apartment

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The location couldn’t be better – right by the sea and port, with a beautiful view of the seafront. It’s just a short walk to the town center where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, as well as lovely parks and sightseeing spots. Many of the tourist spots in Funchal are within walking distance, which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. We also rented the car and the private parking was only few minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment itself was very comfortable and equipped with all the amenities we needed. The host Lucy was very welcoming and most helpful and provided us with many useful information. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect mix of relaxation and easy access to the vibrant town center.

Pros: Great location. Apartamento is very comfy, very nice decorated, with all needed facilities. Lucy (host) gave us a very warm welcome, she also gave us info about places to eat and the surroundings. I highly recommend this apartment

Cons: Everything was great

Pros: Location was absolutely perfect for accessing the best of Funchal, from activities to restaurants it was all at the door step. The apartment whilst small in the living area has a large bedroom and everything needed for our stay (though we didn't really use the kitchen facilities with all the good restaurants around!). Host communications were excellent and they provided us with restaurant and activity / sightseeing suggestions. Would love to return one day.

A perfect stay for us!

Pros: Right in the heart of Funchal, on busy road but double glazing soundproof first rate. Everything fresh and clean with all facilities we needed. Day 2 aircon failed… builders next door had isolated in error.. Alexandra and Alexander( a couple!) were most attentive- Visited in the evening to reassure us and sorted by morning. Alexandra and Lucy were on WhatsApp even before we arrived (9 hours late c weather!) and advised on restaurants and points of interest. We were able to ask questions on WhatsApp and v fast response.We believe them to be the best hosts we have used in many years.

Cons: Noisy road meant closing windows early evening …. Roll on electric motorcycles!,…but being central to people watch, liners coming and going and easy bus transport outweighed this!

Pros: Wonderful apartment in the heart of Funchal! It was super-clean (rare case when I allowed myself to walk in the apartment barefoot:) We had everything we needed for our stay and enjoyed the communication with our hosts. Thanks a lot, Lucy and Alex!

Pros: I arrived a lot earlier than the check in time and reached out to see if I could drop off my bags before the allotted check in time. Lucy met me to give me the keys which let me freshen up and rest before I started my day which was really appreciated!
