Excellent stay.

Pros: Modern, clean, comfortable. Very welcoming staff and good food.

Cons: A long way from a regular grocery store if you don’t have a car, but this is obviously no fault or criticism of the hotel.

Pros: The views from breakfast were amazing, breakfast itself great as well! Bedroom very comfortable, highly recommend

Cons: Everything was great, just bear in mind is almost at the top of the hill, so trickier with car but totally doable

We fealt welcome from the moment we arrived and would definitely stay again if we ever return to Madeira.

Pros: Lovely hotel with stunning views. Superb breakfast and room was lovely. Bus 22 stops right outside which is super for a trip down the steep windy roads to Funchal. We ate in the restaurant two nights and no issues. Highly recommend.

Amazing views, great location, and outstanding breakfasts

Pros: The hotel is located in Montane, right on the mountain, and offers stunning views. There is a public transport stop nearby, as well as convenient on-site parking. It is easy to reach the centre of Funchal by bus, although renting a car is definitely recommended for exploring the area more freely. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotlessly clean, and the breakfasts were absolutely excellent - fresh, varied, and very well prepared. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, combining comfort, great service, and unforgettable views.

Pros: Staff were super. Location was quiet and near both cable cars and the botanic gardens. Breakfasts were varied and excellent each day we were there. The room/apartment was brilliant with the terrace and relax area. The bus ride to and from Funchal was thrilling every time. Last night there, we were given a bag with breakfast because we had to catch an early flight. A magnificent and magical family friendly place.

Cons: Being ultra critical, I did not like the television news showing during breakfast.

Cons: Nothing at all. Maybe sooner possibility of breakfast. If you want to go to some trail. Very strong and sensitive terrace lights.

Pros: Superb place I loved the rooms I loved the personnel Everyone is very attentive to what you need . Breakfast is wonderful and if you go out early to hikes than they prepare breakfast to go . Just notify on time. The restaurant above is wonderful. You can have there dinner if you don't want to drive to funchal . It's about 8-10 minutes drive. The hotel is next to the cable car and the madeira palace. The personnel makes the place perfect

One of the highlights of my Portugal trip

Pros: This far exceeded our expectations. We are Canadians and we will definitely recommend the warmth of the staff, the amenities, the awesome view, the food, the amazing breakfast.

Cons: The only thing that we didn’t like was that I did not plan a longer stay there.
