Pros: The breakfast was delicious. Knowledgable and friendly host.

Cons: The steep walk from the centre of town to the property.

Absolutely amazing place.

Pros: We had an amazing stay. The garden is super cute to hang out in and a great view to the city and the ocean. Sabine is such a lovely human, thank you for everything. Can't wait to be back!

Cons: The outdoor space we had was very small and not quite private, and we could hear the people talking next door. Not a big thing but leaving the door open was limited.

Highly recommend staying at Sabine’s magical home :)

Magnificent, exceptional & full of memories

Pros: Truly wonderful place to stay in Funchal . Sabrina our host made us feel comfortable & at home from the moment we arrived . She provided visitor information, made a restaurant booking for us & invited us for drinks on the terrace with other guests one evening . The restaurant recommendation was superb , fine dining at a reasonable price . We missed out on the local drink Poncha , as the evening we went to the bar it was closed …. A Sunday. She immediately went to the kitchen & came out with all the ingredients for the cocktail & made them for all the guests . She goes above & beyond to make sure all guests have a wonderful time & my wife & I can’t thank her enough for making our stay in Madeira so memorable . We will definitely return .

super fijne locatie boven in funchal

Pros: ideale locatie als je Funchal bezoekt: hoog gelegen, maar beloopbaar naar het centrum en de Uber is super goedkoop als je niet weer terug wilt klimmen. En het fijnste: Sabine en haar man Michel ( super aardige en relaxte hosts) hebben tussen alle stenen huizen een prachtige tuin gemaakt, waardoor je in een groene/kleurige oase komt en een fantastisch uitzicht hebt op zowel de stad als de zee: er zijn meerder zitjes in de tuin. De kamer is niet groot maar mooi, met prachtige details ( zoals de houten deuren en een mooi robuust houten dressoir) en een kleine maar moderne badkamer met super fijne douche! meer heb je niet nodig..Het ligt ook nog op korte loopafstand van een prachtige botanische tuin en met een telecabine kan je vervolgens naar een fantastische Tropische tuin aan de andere kant van de stad: mis dat niet!

Cons: We moesten goed zoeken naar een parkeerplaatsje en hadden uiteindelijk geluk op het pleintje vlakbij haar straatje. In heel Madeira zijn alle straatje erg steil en iedereen knalt zijn auto gewoon ergens neer. Het is aan te raden om, als je vlakbij de locatie bent en je een parkeerplekje ziet, hem meteen te parkeren.

Cons: Steep walk from downtown. But that is the reality of Funchal and that will keep us young!

Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen

Pros: Eine kompetente nette Gastgeberin; ein sehr individuell angelegtes Haus. sehr schönes Wohn und Frühstückszimmer und ein interessant angelegter Garten mit einer Außenterrasse (Blick aufs Meer und auf Teile der Stadt und toller Frühstücksort bei gutem Wetter. sehr ruhige Lage; Zwei friedliche und freundliche Katzen und eine super eingerichtete Küche. Kaffee konnte man sich an der Kaffeemaschine selbst aussuchen.

Cons: Unser Schlafzimmer und Bad waren relativ klein mit wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten
