very good holiday, funchal is a good destination

Cons: Everything was good, but expect to do some climbing if you want to walk there from the city. The road is steep.

Pros: Beautiful location, nice terrace where you can enjoy the breakfast and friendly staff.

Cons: It would be good a small fridge in the room. The walls are weary thin de we heated the neighbors. But it’s all god. The breakfast was the same alllll the days. Scrambled eggs and sausage and some cheese. But the stunning view made up for it.

Charming B&B accommodation with view of the sea and delightful courtyard to relax in.

Pros: The breakfast provided a wide range of continental options with cereals, fruit, cheese, ham, choice of sliced bread and range of bread rolls. A coffee machine provided coffee options. The manager provided scrambled eggs for us as well. The balcony provided a view of the sea and was surrounded by trees, garden and shrubs so was a very pleasant aspect. The breakfast room was a large space with a range of tables spread out so visitors could have privacy if they preferred. There was also a bookcase with a range of books that travellers could borrow if they wished. I travelled in the off season, so it wasn't so busy but did meet a few other travellers which made it more enjoyable. The lady manager was personable and kind so that always adds to a good atmosphere.

Cons: The water for the shower took about 2-3 minutes to get hot, but did get hot eventually. As the saying goes, \

Pros: Helpful and kind hotel staff. Clean room with balcony and nice view. Good size of the room A small common kitchen by the swimming pool, Kettle, small electric oven and microwave availability.

Cons: The hotel is not far from old town. About 25 minutes walk on down hill. The problem could be walk back on the uphill. It could be challenging. However you can go by Uber around 4€.

Cosy authentic place

Pros: So cosy and quiet. Good views from the beautiful patio. Breakfast is freshly prepared and the staff is kind and friendly

Great location, friendly staff :)

Pros: Location is great if you don’t want to stay in the busy centre but it is still few minutes by car away. Parking in the street is always available a few meters down.

Cons: The bedroom should have a net door to prevent mosquitoes and let you open the doors for beautiful breeze in the evening.

Pros: Breakfast was delicious and the staff were really accommodating. It's such a relaxed environment. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay after our hiking trips.

Pros: Such a beautifully situated haven with amazing scenic views . I travelled with my daughter . We had a balcony off our room with a sea view . There was a pool which we had planned to use but just did not get round to it as we were in downtown Funchal both days of our stay . We dined alfresco every morning looking down on the town and the water . The lady that cleaned our room daily was so lovely, so friendly and did a great job Stefania, the owner was wonderful, waited up till after midnight to greet us after our late flight . She couldn’t be more helpful and regularly chatted to us throughout our stay .

Cons: There was nothing I did not like apart from maybe the very steep hill . We walked it (downtown) the first day . My daughter (29) did it effortlessly, me, not so much but I am proud to say I did it . We even walked back that first day . It was very hot 🥵 and steep but I like a challenge and I was glad to real Casa Do Caseiro
