Royal Orchid is the perfect location

Pros: Breakfast was top class, and the location was perfect to explore with hired car. Restaurants locally were excellent quality and value. The staff in the hotel are so friendly and helpful. Access to the sea was excellent.

Cons: CEO being a bit short with me because I temporarily blocked his parking access waiting to enter hotel car park. Guests don't know your systems, leadership starts at the top.

Pros: Nice location with a nice beach nearby (nice place to have a short walk) Very nice and big rooms with possibility to cook Happy hour everyday :-)

Cons: Fresh fruit and juice for the breakfast could be nice The limited opening timing of the gym and sauna

Location

Pros: We landed up not staying as our flight got rescheduled to the same day but we checked in and used what they call the spa and went to the room which was extremely spacious - rather large actually with a gorgeous view over the ocean Location is lovely, along the ocean

Cons: What they call the spa, should just be called an indoor pool filled with noisy children and uncomfy chairs. Checkin experience was pretty average and not the usual friendly checkin we get when we travel to Madeira

An excellent one night stay before flying back home.

Pros: Food was good. Location excellent. Seeing a folk group in full swing was a very pleasant surprise. Staff at breakfast extremely attentive and helpful.

Cons: Some items we expected to find were not there ie a tray and small coffee cups. Lack of pictures on walls or any decorative items.
