Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, clean and good location and breakfast

Pros: Close to the airport. Nice surrounding area. The children loved watching the airplanes from the balcony. But most importantly, we forgot our child’s toy there. The staff were so amazing that they sent the toy back to us by mail. We are incredibly grateful.

Relaxed and enjoyable stay

Pros: Everything. Where it was situated, close to the beach, the shops, restaurants. Excellent breakfast and entertainment. Staff were friendly and approachable. Rooms were large and airy. Beds very comfortable. High standard of cleanliness throughout.

Pros: Very comfortable rooms with great beds – we slept really well. The hotel was clean and very well equipped. Located 4 minutes by car from the airport.

Cons: In my opinion, the reception staff was understaffed, which may have been due to the Christmas holidays, so that is completely understandable. However, because of this, we received incomplete or incorrect information several times and they were constantly busy.

Pros: It was a lovely hotel and the staff were very good. I enjoyed our stay. I imagine as it's on the flight path it may get noisy. Santa Cruz is a very small place so not much to do there in poor weather but the hotel does have a shuttle bus into Funchal.

A wonderful relaxing experience

Pros: The hotel was beautiful, modern and a gorgeous Wellness Center

Cons: There were a lot of weird men hanging around in Santa Cruz when I went out to explore. This made me feel a little uncomfortable at times as a female solo traveler. In the hotel itself I felt incredibly safe and well taken care of.

Pros: We were allowed to check in early and the room was great, lovely light. My partner used the gym and said it was okay- a little outdated but had great choices. The pool was amazing, and the sound and sight of the sea just beyond it was nice! Also breakfast was good! good amount of choice!

Cons: Could have also had a kettle / coffee in the room.
