Cons: I understand the need to pay green fees, but it would be great if the use of tennis court was included in the room rate

Overall, a wonderful hotel that made our first trip to Madeira unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!

Pros: We stayed here from the 25th to the 30th of September on our first visit to Madeira and were absolutely delighted with our choice. The hotel’s location on the hillside above Funchal is breathtaking, surrounded by beautiful gardens with spectacular views. Our room was spacious, elegant, and very comfortable, with a stunning bathroom and excellent amenities. Breakfast was a real highlight, especially when enjoyed outdoors in the garden, with a wide selection of fresh fruits and delicious options each morning. The spa and pool area, both indoor and outdoor, made our stay even more relaxing and memorable.

Cons: Although we didn’t have the chance to try dinner at the restaurant this time, it is high on our list for our next visit. Lunch on the terrace was not as expected.

Beautiful country estate with stunning views and lovely staff.

Pros: Everything about our stay was fantastic. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect, up in the hills but close to Funchal. You are surrounded by nature with access to the Palheiro Gardens which are beautiful. A shuttle bus is provided to drop and collect from Funchal town centre every day and also to the Vista Balancal Restaurant which is onsite at the golf house. The views of the bay from here are stunning and the food is exceptional. Breakfast - fabulous choice with the option to enjoy on the terrace. Pool was really nice and the overall atmosphere in this country estate is very relaxing and quiet. A very memorable stay.

Charming place that I would definitely suggest to closest friends.

Pros: Excellent location, lovely personal and great atmosphere all together. It was quiet and cozy. The territory around is well maintained and very green, with beautiful garden. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious, I believe that everyone will find that will suit their taste. Personally I loved the omelette and variety of fruits at the breakfast and excellent fish and vegetarian dishes served at dinner. Almost forgot - the rooms are big, clean and comfortable.

Cons: Nothing negative to say about this lovely place.
