Madeira Panorâmico Hotel

Hotel lacks character but well run and has great views.

Pros: Clean, orderly and reasonably well equipped with good sports facilities and two pools. Views over Funchal excellent. Excellent dinners in the à la carte restaurant.

Cons: Quite a distance from the marina and old town. A bit sterile in terms of decor. Very odd and confusing routes to the pools and restaurant using 2 lifts. Hotel lacks comfortable lounges during poor weather

We throughly enjoyed our stay and we’re never bored will definitely return

Pros: Lovely staff and the view from our room, the happy hour and the nightly entertainment

Cons: Not really the properties fault but it’s quiet an uphill hike from Funchal and the surrounding areas, the mini bus service to and from town is brilliant However it stops early evening and on Sundays, we had a car which was a big help just something to consider

Another lovely week in Madeira.

Pros: Good selection of buffet breakfast items. Hot food cooked to order such as omelettes. Staff friendly and helpful. Car parking available. Room was surprisingly quiet. Good seaview. Free hotel shuttle bus into town was useful.

Cons: Shuttle bus didn't run on Sundays or after 1830.

Pros: Terrific views. Good facilities. Free shuttle and bus stop right outside hotel

Cons: Too steep to walk to centre neec to take bus

An excellent hotel for a stay in Madeira

Pros: Facilities were excellent, especially the Spa/Wellness Centre. There are two restaurants to choose from with excellent food, nice ambience and good service offering very good value. The regular bus service makes it easy to get into Funchal centre

Cons: We would have preferred it if there was at least one later bus than 6pm back to the hotel.

Pros: Free courtesy bus available for quick trip to port area. Breakfast was wonderful. Room with sea view worth the money

Cons: Had a superior room, but had no drawers for clothes. Also reported the toilet filled every 5 seconds but nothing done about it.

Pros: As a woman traveling alone, I felt very comfortable at this hotel. The location is fantastic, with the most beautiful sunrises ever. As it is located on a hill, I particularly appreciated having a rental car (plenty of parking spaces for free!!), but the hotel also offers shuttle buses to the city center for free. Unbelievable! I especially liked that you never feel alone in this hotel because there are always places to eat and live music every evening inside the hotel. The staff was incredibly nice and spoke many languages fluently. The room was clean, very big, quiet, and the food was good. The Christmas decorations throughout the house are so cute and very elaborate. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Cons: There was a dog next to the hotel who barked almost 24/7 which was super annoying but has nothing to do with the hotel as you can't blame them. :)

Pros: The facilities were excellent and the staff were helpful. The range of food for breakfast was good. The a la carte food in the Parador dining room was delicioul and good value.

Cons: The free shuttlebus into town was great but the last one was 6.45pm. There was no sun on the pool terrace after about 4.30pm.

Pros: The hotel is just perfect, nice views, great food, clean, the best choice.
