GuestHouse Vila Lusitania

Pros: Great value for money with very clean and well equipped rooms, terrific views and lovely staff. Very good breakfast too.

We had a wonderful Holiday in Guesthouse Villa Lusitania!☆☆☆

Pros: We had a wonderful Holiday!! We liked the kind support & care by the Guesthouse Staff, even before arrival!! Great Communication skills, explaining & giving great advise & extra infos on Daytrips & Transport☆☆Guesthouse location was away from stressful traffic & city centre, close walking distance to Restaurants & Shops & Promenade & Beach/Pools☆☆Walks uphill kept us fit ;) It was so great to be there for Carneval♡♡ Thanksamill again for your kind Service & making our Stay in Madeira so pleasant☆☆♡♡

Cons: The Studio & Bathroom we booked, looked a bit more spacious in pictures!? The View was not as expected! The Grass area outside the window was walled, a bit hard to reach and shared space. We were informed, that there were temporary Building works going on. The sound was bearable for us, as for weekend & Bankholiday!

Pedro is the man!

Pros: Great hotel beautifully decorated with a cute pool & super nice staff!

Very pleasantly surprised

Pros: Although the room offered basic amenities, the quality and comfort were high. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful. It is definitely somewhere I would consider staying again.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent in an excellent place with a beautiful view of the sea!

Cons: Nothing could be better! For me it was perfect! Very nice place and very nice and friendly people! I will surely recommend it to everyone who is staying in Funchal.

Pros: The view was incredible - overseeing the ocean. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Cons: There was some kind of renovation so during the day it was pretty noisy in the room.

Peaceful, comfortable, plus friendly, well-informed & efficient receptionist, Fatima

Pros: The peace & quiet, enabling a good night's sleep! (Previous night, in Santa Lucia district, had endured an all-night cacophony of deafening dog-barking; a vehicle blaring out \

Cons: No restaurants/bars in immediate vicinity, so have to eat before going back to property, involving a very steep climb, on foot, but also served by public bus no.24, from Funchal & taxi from Esplanade, below - closest shops/restaurants - - not expensive.

Lovely peaceful guesthouse

Pros: Wonderful 11 days stay. Nice environment, clean, good beds, rich breakfast, clean pool, nice view and most important helpful and friendly staff always there to help. Would like to go back. Pia and Martin

Cons: I liked all of it.

Pros: The accommodation has a great view from the rooms and the terrace where breakfast is served; staff was very friendly and helpful and check-in and check-out were really easy. There is a wide range of restaurants within walking distance and you can even walk to Funchal city centre if you want. The houses itself are very charming!

Cons: Breakfast was generally good; we would have wished for a bit more variety over the week and the way some of the fresh items were stored was a bit unfortunate, making them less appetizing. There were some renovation works going on during the day, which made a bit of noise, but I assume this is only temporary.

Super!

Pros: Fantastic hotel if you need a place to stay in Funchal. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast for a wonderful start of your day.
