Great option for a weekend stay in Funchal
Pros: Great location in the center of Funchal, really close to shops, restaurants or funicular. Room cosy and clean. Nice idea with the tub inside the room
Cons: If you need e.g. kettle on the room, there isnt one. However, a common kitchen is well equipped. People with disabilities may have troubles getting upstairs due to lack of elevator

Pros: Receptionist Christina was super nice and very helpful. Helped me book all the trips and explained everything. Thank you 🥰
Cons: There was nothing there I didn't like. Hostel in great location, all the restaurants near. The only thing I say the rooms near the street are quite loud at the evening , when people go to the bars. But that wasn't an issue for me.

Pros: Good location, walking distance to explore Funchal. Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed.
Cons: There is no AC, just a fan, so something to be considered, looking at the humidity that is common in Madeira.

Homely, comfy hostel with some noise
Pros: Had a very friendly welcome and the accommodation felt like a home. The dorm was spacious compared to many hostels and comfy. Facilities were clean.
Cons: There is quite a bit of street noise, it’s good to be in a busy central area but being on the first floor directly above restaurants is noisy, but not late into the night. There was construction work opposite but assume this is temporary.

Great hostel in a heart of Funchal
Pros: All you need you will find here. Fully equipped kitchen with lots of remaining food from other travellers who left (butter, spices, oil, pasta, bread etc., so check what's there before you shop). Convenient entrance system with a code. Locker in dorm big enough for a big backpack. Living room area at the reception (so not too intimate actually) Water filtering machine in the kitchen.
Cons: Garden resting area was closed, chairs covered (maybe for lower season? I was in October). A bit of noice from the street as it is the most popular restaurant street in Funchal. Even when restaurants close for service there is still noice of putting back metal floors (yes, they use metal plates on the stone street), chairs etc. Same in the early morning. No individual reading lamps so when someone enters a dorm needs to switch on the big lamp and potentially wake up others. Stays for 1 night not possible unfortunately. Also pricey for a dorm bed (40e/night).

Everything was good!
Pros: Clean, the staff was really nice and the location is 10/10
Cons: It’s very noisy due to the central location. If you’re willing to get some sleep or need to wake up early etc, it may not be the perfect spot

Wonderful
Pros: Hostel was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Could use an extra fridge in the kitchen, but it didn’t impact the quality of my stay
