Great resort-style hotel with everything you'd want for an easy holiday. Sea-view rooms are huge

Pros: We had an enormous, well-equipped room with a great view of the sea and the outdoor pool below. The balcony was also large. The pool area wasn't too busy as we visited during the off-season (late February). Very good breakfast with plenty of options and the staff were unfailingly friendly.

Cons: The hotel is in the Lido area of Funchal, which is very much like a large holiday resort. This is fine and the area is nice, but those looking for a more authentic Madeira experience might want to stay elsewhere.

Pros: Not only was the hotel amazing but the staff always went above and beyond. They treated us like family. The view was beyond incredible.

Pros: Nice breakfast, good location, we also got upgraded to a suite at check in

Cons: The room, especially the bathroom, felt a little dated and in need of a refurbishment. The shower seemed to flood the bathroom floor every time it was used.

Pros: All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable poolside bar food and beverage very good bar staff excellent. Room service is also good. Dined in the restaurant once, had the fillet steak de Paris x 2 very good meat and 1btl nice rose that the waiter recommended..

Cons: The cooked breakfast was not that good. However, the rest of the buffet was very good. Again, the staff were very attentive and always met your needs. We weren't a lover of the brand of coffee

Professional and helpful staff, great room, good location, excellent breakfast

Pros: Nice, spacious room, good bathroom, excellent breakfast buffet, convenient in-house parking

Cons: The in-house parking tended to be overbooked, so several times I had to park the car in a non-official spot inside the car park (as did many others)
