Hotel Costa Linda

Pros: The room was much better than I expected and the view from the balcony was a bonus. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained by the cleaners. The bed was comfortable, which is important for people with a bad back, like myself. Leticia, the hotel manager, is a lovely lady and is always happy to assist with any queries.

Pros: Excellent location with sea view from the balcony. Small but functional room and bathroom.

Cons: Fairly pricey compared to similar hotels.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, clean, and had a balcony. Even without a sea view, I was very satisfied and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is perfectly located in the town center, with everything easily accessible on foot. Breakfast was very good, the service was excellent, and I would happily book here again. Highly recommended — a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Madeira.

Sea views.

Pros: Very friendly helpful staff. Excellent location only metres from the sea with beautiful views from our room. Good wholesome breakfast. Our room was compact and clean, and it had a balcony. Good restaurants within 5 minutes walk on the sea front.

Cons: We would have liked facilities to make our own tea/coffee, ideally in our room.

Pros: Location: This was the first hotel we stayed in Madeira. It is located in the tiny village on the quiet side of this island. The room is facing directly towards the beach and I loved falling asleep with sounds of waves. This was the perfect place to wind down from my busy life. Also there is a natural swimming pool within 5 minutes walk distance. There is a beach where you can surf. There were full of surfers. Breakfast: It was very delicious. Recommended to order Prego (meat sandwiches).

Cons: Not too many options for dinner in this village but this is a minor problem.

Pros: This is a small hotel which backs onto the promenade. Parking is on-street and free, and we had no problem finding a space in a nearby street. Reception was friendly and check-in fast and efficient. Built into a hill the the front of the hotel is at street level but the rear is a floor or so below that. our room was downstairs - a standard twin room with bathroom but no view from the window. On our floor was a communal seating area with tables and chairs, and down more steps is the hotel restaurant. One of their soups makes a tasty snack! Breakfast (included in the price) is served here - tables laid with ingredients for simple continental breakfast plus we could choose a hot option from a menu. Very nice!

Pros: Terrace or balcony with uninterrupted ocean view, excellent breakfast included. Plenty of restaurant nearby.

Cons: Location, take 35 mins uber into town. Very small bathroom.
