Pros: Large suites with 2 bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen perfect for family. Warmed up outdoor swimming pool - perfect in December. Direct access to the ocean (albeit via ladders) - ocean temperature was c. 20C. Excellent breakfast with Eggs Benedict made to order.

Excellent!

Pros: Loved everything! Breakfast was superb, the room was very comfortable and extremely clean, the location was perfect and the staff were courteous and friendly.

Cons: The bed was a tad too firm and would like more choice on the a la carte menu.

Overall a lovely time spent at the Royal Savoy….

Pros: Very clean and spacious. Rooms were well kept although parts could do with a little updating.

Cons: Tired and a bit dated in places…. Some of the bedroom furniture could do with some tidying up

Very enjoyable stay.

Pros: Good location in a quiet part of Funchal next to the sea. The breakfast was a fairly standard large hotel offering - I've had better, but there was enough to choose from. The room was spacious, with a lounge beyond the bedroom and a balcony outside. We enjoyed being able to eat outside, both for breakfast and dinner, as it was warm enough in May to do so. There were cooking facilities in the kitchenette next to the lounge, should you need them.

Cons: I've had better breakfasts.

Luxurious and enjoyable stay in Royal Savoy.

Pros: Good location in a quiet place, in walking distance to the center of Funchal (20 - 30 minutes). Price of Taxi to the center 7 - 8 Euros. Very good breakfasts, nice personell. A lot of sunbeds, no need to \

Cons: Slow Internet. This is really a shame nowadays.
