A modern luxurious hotel with great food and an extremely comfortable bed.

Pros: Fantastic location, very modern and spacious rooms. Both pools and access to the sea were great. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well here. Housekeeping were great. Once we checked out at 12:00 we were able to keep using the facilities and the pool for the afternoon which we loved and really enjoyed. The restaurant also served really tasty and interesting food. There were also lots of really nice restaurants in the street behind the hotel was was super convenient!

Cons: Our room was at the back of the hotel and looked out onto a restaurant which hosted events. Sometimes the restaurant played loud music which was not terrible but was annoying at times. When we checked out, we asked if they could look after our bags for the afternoon. Instead of putting them in a locked room, they left them in the foyer which we were a bit miffed about since we had trusted them with our belongings.

Just what we needed for our overnight close to the ferry port.

Pros: Booked in for one night only as it was perfectly located for us to just walk down to the port for the early morning ferry to Porto Santo. The room was comfortable and had all we needed. We didn't have time to sample breakfast so can't comment on that.

Cons: We didn't go over the road to the adjoining hotel and restaurant but it was a bit confusing to figure out which floor to access the footbridge over!

Pros: Our Ocean View Room was divine, breathtaking views from the balcony. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of options, from meats, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, pastries, hot/cold drinks. The staff were friendly and accommodating to our requests.

Cons: Our room pillows were deflated and unsupportive to the neck.

A place I would return to again and again.

Pros: Great location. Really clean. Friendly staff. Large rooms and good facilities. The food and cocktails were great. The bed was very comfortable. I would go back.

Cons: The toilet room was really dark and they could do with somewhere to hang your towel while in the shower. But this is so minor as the facilities were very comfortable and clean. I went in February so the pool was too cold to swim in.

Pros: Very clean, great architecture, fun hotel well situated, great view, close to city centre. Staff exceptional, very helpful. They upgraded our room when we complained about cooking smells from neighbouring apartment. Although parking was mentioned as being free we were charged ( reception staff helpful, and charged us a reduced rate). Nice sauna and steam room.

Cons: Breakfast, although varied was of low quality. Charcuterie, cheeses, bread was just basic supermarket quality, not something you expect from such a hotel. Fruit juices from a carton, and that is in Madeira which prides itself with fruit quality. Bubbly at breakfast a nice touch. Piped music everywhere quite annoying. The lifts smelled strongly of cleaning products, forever chemicals not pleasant to inhale.

Excellent, will definitely return.

Pros: Location, pool area with access to the sea. Large room with sea view.

Cons: Foyer area a bit dark

Pros: Fantastic location and lovely rooms. Ocean view rooms are great.

Cons: Only very small things like no milk / creamer for coffee in the room. Otherwise excellent.

Great hotel in a brilliant location

Pros: Great hotel in a really good location. Great views. Fab rooftop bar plus lovely pool by the sea. Staff were great. Rooms very comfortable

Cons: Put some hooks in the bathroom to hang towels!

Pros: The staff at NEXT are quite exceptional. They are very friendly, efficient and helpful. The accommodation was spacious and every part of the hotel is kept spotless. The breakfast has everything you could want and the dining room (located beside the pool) has great lunch and dinner menus. When you find your way around, using the footbridges, you'll realise how good the location is. There is access to sea swimming too.

Cons: This is a very modern hotel and may not be to everyones liking. We loved it!

A great stay at a lovely hotel

Pros: We had an ocean studio which had a spectacular view of the sea, harbour, palm trees and pool. The facilities were great.

Cons: We had a very small balcony compared to others on our floor. Not sure why we were put there as the hotel wasn’t busy. The first part of the walk down a steep and very busy road isn’t overall pleasant.
