Very noisy

Pros: Hotel was lovely. Staff was lovely. Good location.

Cons: Our room was a garden room right below the bar. Music was so loud we couldn't bear it. When we called to complain, there was no effort to appease us at all. This happened 2 nights.The room should come with a noise warning. Not what we expected from a 5 star hotel.

A luxury experience which we won’t forget anytime soon!

Pros: I enjoyed all aspects of our stay at the Savoy Palace - the hotel is well located, the interior is stylish, bringing in both elements of nature and luxury, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Madeira

Pros: Fantastic centrally located hotel in Madeira . Can not fault this hotel in any way . Superb stay

Cons: Beds were a little hard for us . However if you let reception know , toppers are available to soften them a bit

An experience

Pros: The hotel has the wow factor and its main swimming pool is awesome. Breakfast was good and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. There's a lot of pretentiousness to the place and some of the interior design feels like a waste of space, I.e. cavernous rooms with not much content. It's an expensive place to run and hence expensive to stay at. Its environmental footprint must be huge too. But, it's an experience staying here. The staff were very nice and it's a friendly and welcoming place.

A wonderful new addition to Funchal hotels!

Pros: Almost all the staff were absolutely charming, helped with any little query. Location perfect for walking in either direction out of hotel. Beautiful room facing the pool and the sea etc etc

Cons: The lack of a dressing table or proper mirror in the bedroom and also the lack of hooks The only 2 were actually in the shower??? The staff in the Pau de Lune restaurant were not as courteous and professional as everywhere else.

We enjoyed our stay

Pros: The staff were all charming and helpful, the breakfast was excellent. Huge choice of different food to cater for all tastes. Attractive interior and very well kept garden.

Cons: There should have been a heated swimming pool available in this grade of hotel. It was far too cold to swim in their outdoor unheated pool at New Year. The only warm pool was in the spa which the hotel charged €40 to use.
